The Legend: Harvey Dent was the District Attorney of Gotham City. And like Gordon, Bullock and Batman, he too wanted to cleanse Gotham of the scum. It was one bust after another. One conviction after another. Dent was putting the bad guys out of commission.
Things were going smooth for Harvey Dent. And he was soon about to be married to his fiance. But there was another problem. He started to display short bursts of anger and temper when things didn't work out. His life, it seemed, was being taken over by another person inside him. That was Big Bad Harvey emerging.
Problem was that years of supressing rage and anger had to led all those feeling being bottled up inside of him. And they slowy started to manifest themselves in the form of another personality - Big Bad Harvey.
Harvey Dent had so far kept his darker side under control through therapy. But then came the day of the explosion. Dent had come down hard on the underworld don, Rupert Thorne. And so Thorne struck down on the D.A. Dent was caught in an explosion that led to the complete disfigurement of the left half of his face. Dent's darker personna now had a face. And that's when Dent became totally unravelled.
Dent now went about as Two Face. He developed a compulsive disorder of having everything in pairs - fit his image. Two Face became a new menace to Gotham City - looting banks and other rivals. He tried to take over all the racketeering in town.
His main enemy has always been the Batman since the dark knight has foiled his every plan. Batman has also sworn that he will find a cure for Dent one day. He always feels very strongly about this issue since Dent and Bruce Wayne were at one time very close friends. And his best friend to-date has been his two-headed coin which has one scratched side. Two Face always flips his coin before taking any decision.
