The Birth: When a pregnant lady delivered her baby boy in the
back of a truck, neither she nor her husband ever knew that they were
so close to the birth matrix of Kal-El, a.k.a. Clark Kent (See Superman) and no-one would ever realize how such
proximity to the alien vessel would change their lives. The baby boy
was exposed to some of the Krytonite from the matrix and the radiation
altered his genes and he grew up to become Conduit.
Conduit may have been born at the same time as Clark, but
none of the early Superman books mention his name; rather he popped
up in a comic with a deceiving serial number : Action Comics #0
The Alter Ego: Conduit was born as Kenny Braverman, in the
back of his father's truck about the same time that Clark was "born".
He would have been a normal person had it not been for his father's
praises for the boy next door: Clark Kent. Though Kenny grew up with
Clark and became one of his good buddies, he slowly grew to hate Clark
since his own father always kept putting him down while at the same time;
sang praises for Clark.
He was a victim of his environment and became what he was not
because of who he was but because of what he had gone through. Kenny
had gone his entire life feeling like a loser because his father told
him so. He always looked for his father's approval but never found it.
The psychological abuse was more than he could take and he ultimately
went crakers.
He later got a job in the C.I.A and went out of Clark's life for
good. It was the C.I.A that made him into the super agent; Conduit,
of course that was possible because of his special powers he got from
the Kryptonite radiation.
However the hatred remained it slowly devoured his humanity.
The Legend: When Brverman a.k.a Conduit left the C.I.A, he
set up an organization rivalling the C.I.A and called it Pipeline.
Conduit's speciality is that he radiates Kryptonite and he uses cables
which are attached to his arm as his primary Kryptonite weapon.
After setting up his organization, he went after the one person
who had caused him so much grief all theses years : Clark Kent!
Of course, Superman got in the way and foiled his plans resulting in
Condiut's imprisonment at S.T.A.R Labs. They even called in a special
jailor by the name of Draper to make an personalized escape-proof
prison for the crook.
Later on when Conduit did escape and went after Clark, he learned
his true identity as Superman and started a full scale attack on
Clark's family and friends, sparing no-one. However, his hatred got
the better of him and he succumbed to his own Kryptonite burnout.
