The Legend: Lord Sonatine made his entry in Darkness #2.
Lord Sonatine is the ruthless leader of the Brotherhood of Darkness. He possesses mystical powers ranging from clairvoyance via a scrying pool, to the ability to make anyone believe anything he says.
Like a twisted Obi-Wan Kenobi, Sonatine seeks to train Darkness heirs in the usage of their powers. However, his motives are far from altruistic -- Sonatine's training comes with the price of servitude; to help the Brotherhood remake the world in its image. Jackie Estacado does not share this vision, much to Sonatine's frustration.
Sonatine tried to force Jackie into aiding the Brotherhood by kidnaping Jackie's childhood friend, Jenny. Jackie outwitted Sonatine's schemes and has made it clear that he wishes to have nothing more to do with Sonatine and his Brotherhood of Darkness. Whether Sonatine will abide by this remains to be seen.
