The Birth: Wonder Woman's historical debut was way back in
All Star Comics #8 in the Winter of 1941. When DC revamped her series,
she was back with a blast in Wonder Woman #1 (February, 1987). She was
created by William Moulton Marston.
Diana of Themyscira was given life and great powers by the
Olympian gods after she was formed out of clay by her mother, Queen
Hippolyta. Following tradition on the Amazon island, Diana was raised
as a warrior, but she always had a desire to explore peaceful options
to resolve conflicts. That is why she adopted the role of Wonder
Woman.
Wonder Woman was created by Wm. Moulton Marston.
The Alter Ego: Wonder Woman's real name is Diana Prince. She is currently single.
The Legend: As Wonder Woman, Diana is an ambassador from
the island of Themyscira to Patriarch's World, teaching a message of
peace and equality by her own example.
She possesses incredible strength and the power of flight. Her
bracelets are capable of deflecting bullets while her favorite weapon,
her magic lasso was spun from the girdle of Gaia and is capable of
performing a whole range of functions, including a quick transformation
from Wonder Woman to Diana Prince.
Once upon a time, her mother declared that Diana had become unfit for her role as Wonder Woman and so she declared a re-match for the title. Diana's challenger; Artimis won the match and became the new Wonder Woman. Diana still continued her role of protecting the city. But when Artimis; the new Wonder Woman went up against the White Magician she was killed in battle, leaving Diana to defeat him. After this it was proved that Diana was the one, true Wonder Woman.
