The Birth: When young Shazam fell prey to lust, he was blinded by the true form of his mate who turned out to be a demoness. His union with that she-demon spawned two twins, a boy and a girl. The girl grew up to become Blaze.
Blaze made her first appearance as the she-demon way back in Action Comics #656 (August, 1990).

The Legend: Blaze grew to despise her father, Shazam. She even went to the extent of entering his realm, the Rock of Eternity and capturing her father, bringing him back to her realm - Hades - a living hell! And she subjugated him to torture as well.
Blaze was also responsible for giving back Theo Adam his speech, thereby allowing him to transform back into Black Adam.

Blaze is a she-demon of pure evil who takes pleasure in extending her corruption to all parts of the world. And she claims the souls of many people who have done wrong their entire life. In their after-life, these people become Blaze's slaves.

When she first appeared on the scene, she masqueraded in mortal guise as Angelica Blaze, the owner of a nightclub named after her. And she was responsible for getting Jimmy Olsen and Jerry White Jr. in serious trouble with the Intergang when she magically transformed the payment that White had to make to the gang into a bag of roaches. The gang ended up putting lead into the two kids, and Blaze snatched their souls into her domain. Superman, with the Black Racer's help ended up saving Jimmy from the horrible fate, but unfortunately Jerry White did not survive. And Blaze put Superman through hell before she lost her battle.

In one of the major Blaze/Satanus wars, Blaze tried to use Superman against her brother Satanus. Unfortunately for Superman, he became a pawn in the war and finally sided with Satanus, helping him to defeat Blaze.
